VOCES QUE TRANSFORMAN CHARLOTTE

INTRODUCTION

Stories Rooted in Lived Experience. Leadership Built Through Voice. Voces Que Transforman Charlotte is a bilingual storytelling initiative created by HABILIDADX to amplify Latinx immigrant voices through facilitated workshops, a published anthology, and a community celebration. This project is not about collecting stories for display. It is about building agency, visibility, and leadership through intentional storytelling.

WHY THIS PROJECT EXISTS

Latinx immigrant communities contribute deeply to Charlotte’s cultural, economic, and social life—yet their stories are often absent from public narratives and decision-making spaces. When stories are missing, communities become invisible. When voices are excluded, systems remain unchanged.

WHAT THE PROJECT INCLUDES
Bilingual Storytelling Workshops
Facilitated workshops supporting reflection, voice, and ethical storytelling.
Published Bilingual Anthology
A professionally produced anthology preserving stories often excluded from the public record.
Format: Print and digital.
Community Celebration & Public Launch
A public, accessible event honoring participants as cultural contributors and community leaders.
